More About Maggie

Maggie found her way to a local shelter as a stray and was never claimed by her owner. Staff soon discovered that she was deaf and did not have much luck finding her a home, so contacted PBRSD for help.

This goofy girl is our resident Easter Bunny, with her all-white coat and bunny rabbit ears that stick straight up at all times. The irony of those great big ears though, is that Maggie is almost completely deaf. What she lacks in that department, she far makes up for with her intelligence and ultra social, friendly personality. Maggie currently lives with small kids, two dogs, a cat and even guinea pigs, and gets along great with everyone. She is a superstar with her training, which involves positive reinforcement techniques geared towards her hearing impairment, so includes hand signals, and she will do just about anything for a tasty treat.

Maggie is fairly new to our program, so stay tuned for more updates. In the meantime, consider coming out to our next adoption event and meeting her, or go ahead and submit an application on line today!

Adopting me will be a lifelong commitment, and my new family needs to be ready, willing and able to provide me not only with lots of love as an indoor member of the family, but also with ongoing training and socialization.
