Six-year old Anne-Marie is a beautiful plus-size girl who has been back at CAT since 7/2/08! That's much too long for this armful of love to wait for a new home!Anne-Marie had a loving home for over two years, but things changed. A large outside dog became an inside dog; her litter box got moved around and she didn't adapt easily to the changes. Her previous owner tried to work with her but ultimately decided it was best for Anne-Marie that she find a home where she would once again be happy, preferably a home without dogs. She's in a free roam room at the shelter and tolerates the other cats there well. She likes petting on her face and head, but doesn't like her belly rubbed. She can get nippy when overstimulated.
Ann-Marie went to stay with a foster mom for a month to give her some time out of the shelter. She did very well there and there's a very nice letter in her file from her former foster mom. She enjoys playing with furry mice and the wand toy. She loves being brushed and seeks affection. Small children make her nervous; older kids are okay. She needs time to get acclimated to her new surroundings and once comfortable she will be a great life companion. If you have patience and time for this girl, she'll be an affectionate and welcome addition to your family.
