More About Brody

Brody is two years old--very handsome and unusual looking. His eyes are pale blue in bright light and blue/green in dim light. His face is long and thin with a wide nose making him look very lion-like. He's an extremely unique looking red tabby--undoubtedly with Siamese in his genetic line. Brody is just as sweet as can be, loves people, and is very calm-natured yet playful and always purring. Brody prefers to be the dominant cat with other cats and although extremely gentle, outgoing, and loving with people, he has problems getting along with some cats. However, his best friend is Clancy (also listed on petfinder). Several months ago Brody was diagnosed with feline asthma. However, it has remained under control with minimum medical intervention (once or twice a week inhaler) and may be a seasonal only allergy.

TYPE OF HOME BRODY NEEDS: A home with no children under age 5, no dogs, and people who will play with and pet him. Brody would be fine alone during part of the day.

Brody has been vet examined; vaccinated (distemper); treated for ear mites, worms and fleas; tested negative for AIDS and leukemia; neutered; and microchipped. Only homes that agree not to declaw and keep Brody inside full-time will be considered. Those at SCOOP are always happy to speak with potential adopters concerning the many alternatives to declawing. For the safety of children and the cats, we prefer to adopt to homes without very young children (under 5). Because adopting is a huge responsibility for 20 or more years, we ask that adopters be independent from parents for at least 2 years. An adoption application is required and donation of $55.00.
