More About Nona

Nona is a gorgeous petite sized German shepherd/Belgian malinois. She is only about 1.5 years old and weighs about 45 pounds. This sweet girl is an amazing and beautiful dog but she must have had a questionable past life as she is skittish and shy with new people, especially men. This is a dog that will need to be adopted by someone who is patient and understanding and will appreciate how rewarding it will be to watch her blossom. While Nona would do best in a home with a yard, it is important to understand that she is a runner/a bolter- the yard must be very secure with tall fences or walls and she would definitely need to be kept inside when home alone. She should not go to a home with children as she is too skittish and children and their friends might be too much for her. Also because it would be too risky in terms of a child opening a front door or yard gate and Nona bolting out. Nona gets along great with other dogs and we think it would be ideal for her to live with another dog. She even likes small dogs! Nona is a very special dog and will need to get adopted by someone who is equally as special and someone that gains enjoyment from watching a dog blossom from a scared, untrusting animal to a friendly, social companion.

Home without children (< 5 yrs old)

Nona is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.
