Hound [Mix]

Case # 2763 Sparky- a male adult hound mix -looks and acts like a super sized Jack Russell terrier. If he wasn't such an insanely happy high energy boy, his story would read like a Dickens tale of woe. Sparky came to the shelter as a tiny puppy and except for a few brief adoptions/vacations, he has lived his entire life here. He would get adopted with a lot of fanfare and excitement, then after a few months he'd be brought back because he'd always get into trouble when left to amuse himself. Nobody enjoys life more than Sparky. He'll be a wonderful companion for someone who has a lot of patience and experience handling active dogs.

Update: This will be Sparky's last chance at finding a real home. Sparky is a good boy! He needs someone who will understand that a dog who's spent his entire life in a shelter may get anxious and feel abandoned if left alone in the house or yard. If his last owners would have crated Sparky when they left the house and kept an eye on him in the backyard, Sparky would not be back at the shelter today! A very heartfelt thank you to our shelter's staff and director for seeing the good boy in Sparky and not giving up on him the way so many others did.
