More About Franchesca

The friendly, loving nature of this beautiful little black smoke kitten is amazing, considering her rough start in life. Born about October 2007, Franchesca spent several of the worst winter months scrounging for food behind a tavern on a busy street. When she was noticed by her namesake, a young artist named Frank, she was thin and had an injured leg. Frank had cat food with him, because he was searching for his lost cat, and Franchesca decided that he was a person she wanted to get to know better. She came right up to him and rubbed against him, then rolled over, and meowed softly. While they picnicked together, Frank promised her that he would get her off the streets. Frank called Cat Rescue Network and, two days later, two volunteers drove to Franchesca's corner. The volunteers did not even have time to get out of the car before Franchesca came running over to them, meowing, as if to say, "I've been waiting for you". She sat in the car with the volunteers, ate the food they offered her, then curled up on the passenger's lap and fell asleep. When the car began to move, she got up, walked into the carrier and just lay there. The volunteers did not even have to close the carrier door. Franchesca was taken to the vet who noted that she had an old injury to her hip which was still painful. It would have to heal on its own. She was vaccinated, and spayed a week later. Franchesca was placed in an emergency foster home where she quickly befriended the cat, dog and people in the apartment. Following her spay she went to another foster home where she again adjusted very quickly. She is grateful for all of the attention she is getting, and appreciates the safety and the regular meals. She is a quiet, loving and inquisitive little cat and would adjust well to any home. ******* Franchesca now lives with a very pleasant lady and a cat named Bear. Bear was lonely after another cat died and clearly wanted the companionship of another animal. The pretty little cat has survived a grat deal of pain and deprivation but is now safe and secure in a loving home

Franchesca is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
