More About Adrian Monk

Lovable Oddball Lapcat

Our Adrian Monk seems to be a little off, a little OCD, but he is a beautiful, shiny, silky, medium-long-haired black cat with a white patch on his lower belly, pearl gray in his bloomers, and dazzling green eyes. He's a good, clean little gent and never hissed nor scratched anyone at Animal Control, our rescue, or the vets' offices when we tried to help him. He loves petting, lying on laps, and standing on them so he can put his arms around your neck and hug and cuddle. He asks to be brushed and cuddled, and enjoys a little rough-housing with another big boy cat, but has trouble interacting with most adult cats (plays too rough). But he's been adorably avuncular with a baby cat (see video). Adrian Monkeyman has been getting along well with the 2 small dogs in his foster home.

Monk came to us from an impound ---on The Green Mile---where he'd have been euthanized if a rescue didn't take him. He is still wary of strangers at first, and he loves his meals so no free-feeding for him or he'll balloon to an unhealthy weight.

Monky's been to the vet, has very white teeth so is probably young (2 to 3.5 years), weighs 11 lbs., is FeLeuk/FIV negative, has been vaccinated for that and Distemper, was wormed, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $50. If you're interested in adopting, please read the Adopting a Cat Companion section of our home page and email rsq@iphouse.com or call 651-644-3890 (anytime between 9am and 9pm) to have us send you our Application and Adoption Contract, and then set up an appointment to meet Monk in his St. Paul foster home. As with all Stray Feral Rescue cats, we will not allow him to be declawed or let loose outdoors.

Thanks for considering a homeless pet!

Adrian Monk is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
