More About Thelma

S/F, 3-4 Years, Rottweiler/Catahoula Mix, Approx. 55 lbs. Hi, I'm Thelma! As my picture suggests, I am curious, happy and a fun loving girl! Recently, I was on vacation at a volunteer's home. It 's been awhile since I have spent time with a family, so it was wonderful getting to know their dogs, and family members. They learned quite a bit about me too. You may see me at the shelter, with my ears back and nervous. But when I break out of my shell...well let's say I am exuberant! The family said I was a great house guest (no accidents). I need a few manner lessons, but that is because it is hard for me to contain my happiness. I will try to hug you, so little humans may get knocked over. But boy, did I enjoy playing with their teenaged son and their male chow mix! Sometimes you may think I am a cat in a dog suit. I want to crawl into your lap and on your chest. You know I want your love because I will paw at you. My passion is to play. Throw me a ball, give me a stuffed animal. Watch me, and I can entertain you with my antics, but I also like to have you involved with play. Cuddle, sure, I don't mind sleeping with you, if you want. But I am pretty cool with being kenneled. I am not much of a barker or whiner. My host had to go to work mid-day, and I was okay hanging in the kennel until she got home. I am protective of my friends. My teenaged friend's brother came home from college. They were pretend punching, so I growled at the big guy. My buddy said it was okay, that they were playing, so I stopped and went to ask forgiveness from the big guy. Like I said, I need some work on manners and guidelines to what is okay behavior. Take a chance on me. You won't regret what I have to offer you!
