More About Peaches recovered

Peaches is a friendly domestic cat who had been abandoned possibly for several months before he turned up at a feeding station for feral cats. He was noticed when the cats who used the station chased the gentle, starving cat away from the food. Despite being badly beaten, he soon returned; starvation made him desperate. He was thin, injured and covered in slush and burrs, which obviously hurt his thin skin when we tried to lie down. He was easily picked up, so was taken in by a person who fed homeless cats in the area. Poor Peaches was so grateful to be warm, and able to eat without fear, that he did not mind being kept in a small space until a emergency foster home became available. Peaches would purr and rub himself against his rescuer; occasionally licking the hand that fed him. He was as starved for kindness and affection as he was for food. Peaches was soon sleeping on the bed of the emergency foster parent but was frightened by sudden movements and an upraised hand. He is a gentle boy, and does not bite, hiss or scratch. He used the litter box and does not have any bad habits. It is obvious that he once had a home. His wounds are now healing, the burrs have been removed and he has a good appetite, He is even learning to play with toys and is very grateful for any kindness. He is going to be a beautiful cat, and a wonderful pet for the person who gives him a loving, permanent home. Although still timid, he is friendly and affectionate when he trusts the people caring for him. ************** Peaches has been adopted by a middle aged couple who had just lost their older cat. He gets lonely when he is not with another cat and he now has a three year old sister cat named Clover.

Peaches recovered is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
