Murphy is a spaniel/sheltie mix, about 25 pounds and about 10-11 years old. He is a mellow, soulful guy who gives sweet, gentle kisses and loves to have his ears and back scratched. .  When he's at home, he's content to sleep on the couch next to his person and watch a movie or sleep on the floor near his person when they're working on the computer.  He also likes to sit on the porch and watch the squirrels in the trees.  He loves to give kisses and he really loves riding in the car. He doesn't bark unless a stranger is approaching the house.  He even ignores the mailman.   Murphy can be quite active- he takes a 3 mile jog with his foster mom twice a week,  he  hikes regularly and he likes to play fetch!  Murphy is an easy dog to have around.  He is housetrained, quiet and well behaved.  He generally does well with other dogs but would be totally content if he were the only pet in the home.
