Pit Bull Terrier [Mix]

Recycled Love has seen many cases of neglect and abuse, but Patches is one of those rare puppies that tugs at the core of one's soul. Patches was found thrown in a dumpster in Baltimore City. This four month old puppy has demodex and began treatment when she came into our rescue on 1/18/08. She has experienced trauma in the first four months of her life, but she could not be more loving and forgiving of those who abused her.

Patches now looks nothing like the pitiful little puppy when she came to the rescue. She is a loving, playful, energetic puppy. She gets along well with her foster family's 2 cats, 2 older dogs and 2-year old male pit bull. She is very interested in play, but also loves to cuddle on a lap and she listens well, especially for for one so young. We have concentrated on her health and are still working on both house training and leash-walking.

She is crate-trained and eats well. She will be on medications for her demodex for a while longer, although to look her you would not know that she had it. Patches is currently about 22 lbs., but will likely grow to about 40-50.
