German Shepherd Dog, Catahoula Leopard Dog [Mix]

This beautiful girl is 2-3 years old and weighs 61lbs. Franchesca is tall, graceful when running, very unique looking and talks when excited. She was rescued from death row at a shelter. Franchesca needs to learn to share with other dogs and will show her teeth when new dogs approach her or her food dish. With a stern "NO" she stops and begins wagging her tail. She enjoys being outside, watching the birds, kids and other dogs play. When off leash she doesn't go far from her human and comes to a whistle. She's calm in the house, walks very well on a leash, rides well in a car, is affectionate, but can also be independent. Franchesca would make a great companion for a person without other pets and even an older person looking for some company. Franchesca can live with other dogs, but her behavior will need to be monitored while she makes the adjustment to a new home.
