Picked up as a stray on 3/15. Available on 3/18. Kane was quite grumpy with some people when he first came to the pound, and couldn't be handled. He has since relaxed, and decided things go better when you get along with everyone! More outside time, treats, and attention from volunteers! Kane isn't a spring chicken, but he certainly isn't ready to retire. He's got some spunk, and he'll let you know. Kane is a big handsome dog, and he sits for his treats when you ask him too! He is vocal at times...just trying to tell us what he wants....which is a new home! Senior dogs can be great pets for senior people! Most tend to be calmer, less active, content to lay at your feet, and dream of the good old dog days! Give Kane a chance, stop by and meet him. $86.00 fee includes OH license, DA2PP, Bordetella vaccine, Hw testing, Worming and spay/neuter. Flea treatment will be provided if fleas are noticed. All dogs will be spayed/neutered before leaving the pound unless other arrangements are made and approved by the warden. Because most of our dogs were picked up as strays, we have no knowledge of any behavior or health issues. Stray dogs are held for 72 hours before being placed for adoption.
