Meet Chippie

If you want a great snuggler and constant companion Chippie is the one! Chippie came to us as an owner surrender. She is a very cute Puggle with a great face and a very Pug like body. She is sweet and very smart She is 3 years old and weighs about 22 pounds.

Chippie is house trained, crate trained, walks on a leash and loves the car. She meets other dogs well and is fine with cats. Chippie is fine with other dogs (lives with 4) but at times is a little bossy so the other dog in the household would need to be a bit more submissive. She would be fine as an only dog and would be fine with children 12 or older.

Chippie is a very fast learner but apparently didn't learn a lot of manners prior to rescue. She LOVES food and we have been working on her sitting away from the table during meals. Chippie is a pleaser so she will work at making her person happy.

Chippie's adoption will require a fenced yard, someone that is home more than a typical 8 hour work day allows; works from home, works part time, is retired, can come home for at least an hour during the work day.

Chippie is extremely affectionate. She LOVES her person, follows you everywhere and lies at your feet but much prefers your lap. As most Pugs, Chippie is very eager to please and very engaging. She loves her walks and time in the car so this is a dog that likes to spend time with her people. She is not a barker and she is very, very low shed!

Chippie is being fostered in Columbus but can be brought to Wooster for the final step of adoption if need be.

For the continue health of our dogs we ask that adopters feed a grain free diet. If you are not already feeding a grain free diet we will be happy to talk with you about the problems that grains create for our canine buddies. Eliminating grains control many allergies and skin problems, you will have less waste to clean up in your yard and less shedding. Dogs don't have stomach enzymes to break down grain for the dog to use as a nutrient and therefore grain in their diet unduly stresses their systems. Chippie will remain a happy and healthy dog on her no grain diet.

If you think that your lifestyle and environment meet with Chippie's needs please contact Martha at learymjri@aol.com or call 330-262-0515 for more information on Chippie or an application.
