Meet Jack

Hello, the Ark named me Jack. I was a stray dog. That means I was found wandering without a collar and I did not have a chip. Now I am at the Ark because a kind volunteer named Ms. Kelly found me and could not find my owner. I guess I went missing because I can climb a fence. The Ark has me in one that is covered. They know that will keep me safe. I am what you call a Blue Heeler. The color of my coat is called blue merle. I was born February 2010 and I weigh 46 lbs. I would love to have a tall privacy fence around a nice back yard. My breed is known to be very smart. Guess what? The Ark got the doggie dentist to clean my teeth! I did not know that was a part of my wellness exam. I am ready to go to my lifetime home. Could you give me that home? When you come to the Ark, ask to see Jack. That's me.

Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.
