Wendy Golden Retriever & Great Pyrenees Mix Lisbon, OH

Hi there. My name is Wendy. I am about 10 months old and I weigh about 45 lbs.
I was found as a stray in the Negley area. I was more than likely dumped there because I wouldn't leave. I have an obvious eye injury. The guy who found me loved me but couldn't take care of my eye so he had to call the pound to come get me.
The pound does have an appointment set up for me to go see the vet on March 6th, but they are in desperate need of donations for my vet care as my eye may require amputation (donation methods will be listed at the end of my bio). The pound does have me on an eye ointment which was prescribed by the vet to help keep me comfortable until I am able to go see the vet.
I am THE SWEETEST little girl you could imagine. I love people and I am great with all of the other dogs here at the pound despite being in obvious pain from my eye. I am very submissive with people. I kind of cower when you reach for me, but once I realize you're gong to be nice to me, I am nothing but tail wags. Which, speaking of my tail... It is totally adorable! It is only about half as long as normal tails, which makes me even more unique and adorable!!

I appear to be in good health (aside from my injured eye). I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER FEBRUARY 27, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
