Hudson Boxer Mix Madras, OR

Hudson's owner was very sad to have to surrender him and his dog pal, Wyatt. Hudson, Wyatt and their owner were suddenly homeless and their owner knew he could no longer provide for his much loved dogs. Hudson is between 6-7 years old and was initially very upset to be in a strange shelter without his human. He has a slight lack of confidence but has some wonderful loose leash walking skills as well as knowing how to "sit" and focus on the trainer. Just look at the great eye contact in his photos. He is good with other dogs, both male and female. He has excellent play skills. He loves to train, is very treat motivated, and would really like to do nose work. (You know, finding hidden things, seeking out goodies.) This shelter environment is unfamiliar to Hudson and we will post more info as we get to know him better. He is, however, beginning to relax, especially when yummy treats are involved.

Pupdate - Hudson is quickly becoming a "trainers favorite." He really would do much better in a home, without all the shelter commotion. If you come to meet him, he may seem to be acting aggressive, but it is frustration! He can't get away from the dogs who don't like other dogs and that frustrates him.
