Peanut has lived a story that we see often in the shelter. His family got him as a little puppy. Once he grew up and became too large for them, they brought him to the shelter. The family had smaller children and when Peanut became excited he would accidentally knock them over. Peanut is a loving 11 month old Labrador mix that has a gentle nature. His handlers in the Puppies for Parole program will fine tune his behavior to help him find a forever home. Peanut will be a wonderful dog for a family that is willing to reinforce his training and give him proper exercise and love.

"Peanut is a very playful young dog. He sits, lays down, stays & will shake with both paws. He is a blast to have around. He has been wormed & has a perfect record on using the restroom. He will walk up & stare at you when he needs something. I just say what do you want & he will walk to the door to go out or to his food or water dish if it is empty. He will press his big head against you when he wants petted. He is a good dog, about 11 months old & would make a great all around family dog.
