Hi! My name is Dexter. I am 7 years old and I would like a king size bed, a side sleeping person, lots of toys and... oh, wait a minute, my foster mom just told me this isn't a letter to Santa! Well then! Let’s start again. My name is still Dexter. I am still 7 years old and I would still like a forever home preferably with a king size bed and side sleeping person and lots of toys! (See? I can make it work either way!) I am kind of sneaky like that. I love going for walks and car rides and if you say...oooo! SQUIRREL! Gotta go! ~~~

Dexter is a beautiful bigger Iggy who weighs in at around 15-18 pounds. He has excellent house training skills and seems able to "hold it" for up to 9 hours. He doesn't falter to go outside in sun, rain or snow. Dexter is well behaved on car rides and will kennel quietly or sit calmly in your lap. He is a pro at digging in under the blankets when it's time for bed.

Dexter will do best in a home without cats and excitable children of any age. Due to his size, weight, and the Iggy ability to jump (he goes straight up!) he could very easily knock over a child. He is sometimes unsure how to properly play with other dogs and is learning that "skill" with his foster sisters. As a result he is a little nippy and sometimes isn't as gentle as you would like. He does not appreciate having his nails trimmed, but loves to cuddle with you on the couch for TV time.
