Meet Miss Kittie

Miss Kittie got her name because when she first came into the shelter she would only eat cat food. She was saved by the shelter manager, who took her home rather than euthanize her. When the manager had to move, she could not take Kittie with her. Ms Kittie is large for a female, about 95 lbs, and as tall as a male in the shoulders and she has a very long body - she is a big, solid girl! She is very loving and affectionate. She loves a crate simply for security, but loves to stretch out on the bed too. Ms Kittie loves to go for walks and rides in the car. Pictures don't do her justice, since good pictures are hard to get because she is camera shy.Kittie is a sweet but shy girl, who warms up once she knows you - she loves to snuggle with her foster dad every morning before he gets up. Miss Kittie will need a patient and loving home where she is encouraged to expand her world. We believe she is a "Pyrador" a great pyrenees/labrador retreiver mix and is between about  5 years old. She has been in a foster home for two years- won't you give this beautiful, playful and gentle girl a forever home? Miss Kittie will be placed as an inside pet with outside privileges to a secure above ground fenced yard. Pyrs do not do well with wireless fencing. We recommend obedience training for all newly adopted pyrs, to help you create a special bond with you and your new friend, this would also give Miss Kittie more confidence too.  Adopters must be over 25, own their own home and all children in household must be over 5 years old.  If you are interested in giving Miss Kittie a forever home, please go to our website, www.igpr.org and complete an application there.
Adoption fee is $300
