Chico Pit Bull Terrier & American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Long Beach, CA

We have a bit of an unusual situation. A friend of ours just recently moved to Washington DC and was going to put this sweet puppy in the pound. My husband and I could not let that happen. I was so worried about his safety, the people that might adopt him and what they would use him for and for his life! Against our better judgment, knowing the management of our complex, we took the puppy in. He has been in our home for 4 months now. He is a sweet little puppy who loves our daughter and our kitten. Unfortunately, our management office of our town homes found out about the dog. They have since given us a notice stating that if we do not get rid of the puppy we will be evicted. We have been trying for over 2 weeks to find a home for him. It just seems that everyone has such a stigma about Pit Bulls. He is definitely not one that fits the stereo type that people have in their minds. He just wants to run and play and have a family that loves him. We now have less than 1 week or we will lose our home. We desperately do NOT want to send him to the pound, the one place that we fought to keep him from. If you could please help us that would be great. I would hate to put him in the pound and I know that the bond that has been formed between my husband and this dog - we just may lose our home if our only option is the pound. :(
