Meet Holly - lap cat

It's difficult to find a white hair on Holly, as she's always dressed in her best frock--basic black. She's an affectionate cat, but she still occasionally allows her diva side to come forth. It takes an understanding heart to quietly allow her time to once again tuck the diva part of her character to sleep. Is it nurture or nature? We're not sure as Holly cannot speak of what transpired before she arrived at her foster guardian's door very hungry. One thing is for sure, she'll always have a purr ready to go and always welcomes a lap to cuddle upon. We think Holly has been celebrating her birthday since '05. '16 At her annual checkup, Holly blood test revealed she is in the very early stages of renal failure. Her special diet of K/D dry food by Science Diet (Holly has indicated she does not like moist food) is allowing her kidneys to continue on their vital work on her behalf. She's quite a girl! '17 Holly's annual check up revealed a condition called hyperthyroidism that can contribute to renal failure. Holly has been accommodating taking a very small tablet of medication to control this condition within normal parameters. Hurray for Holly! On November 22, 2019, Holly rests forever more. She was very compliant starting with medication, then eventually daily sub-q fluids all the while keeping her comfortable. She's at rest. She was quite the girl.
