Interesting Stuff About KIZMAN:


This beautiful girl is named Kizmin. Her name comes from a character in a book who is a strong, black, female police officer. Kizmin was originally a stray who found her way to the back yard of a cat lover. The homeowner began feeding her and eventually was able to pick her up. That's when she realized little Kizmin was already pregnant. The rescuer took Kizmin in and kept her until her kittens were big enough for adoption. Now it's Kizmin's turn to find a great new home where she will be kept safe and loved.

Despite her time as a stray, Kizmin is perfectly happy to stay inside. She is a quiet, mellow cat who is very affectionate and loves to be petted and held. Although an adult in cat years, she is still very playful and active. And she just LOVES catnip!

Update: Kizmin was unfortunately returned to the shelter after a couple of years in a loving home. For reasons that we may never know, Kizmin became distressed in the home and with a heavy heart her adopter decided it was best that she be returned so that she could find a home where she would be more comfortable. Her previous owner had the following parting words: "Kizmin is a sweet, loving cat who enjoys lots of attention and likes to have people around. She is playful, full of energy and eats well. She should have a home with lots of people so that she can have a lot of attention." Since being returned to the shelter, Kizmin has not lost her spunk. She is as lovable as ever. She's quick to approach a new friend, makes great eye contact, and will rub against your legs, arms, and face.

Kizmin has a fluffy,soft, round body that just begs to be petted. Her yellow/green eyes are inviting and they are inviting you to get to know her.
