4/1/09 Well, I'm back. I was 'too feisty' for the family and nippy with their little girl. So. I know there are people who love a feisty cat and don't also have little kids around, right? No wonder I felt bad! I'm getting much better. I love it when they put me in with my kids for a visit, but I'm then glad to go back to my own snug cage. I'll be ready soon for a loving home who can admire a big, beautiful Calico gal! Diary 5/17/07 I've been separated from my kids now, because I don't feel good and I'm really worn out being a mom of six! I've been tested and am negative for Leukemia and AIDs, but I'm being treated for some intestinal parasites, and I'm being pampered to regain my health. I am a sweetie pie who will be ready for a new safe home in a couple of weeks. Please come meet me. 5/1/07 These are pictures of me. My babies have been named and will be listed individually, even though they are 2-3 weeks away from being old enough to be adopted. We all have to get 'fixed' before adoption, but aren't my babies and I beooooooootiful???? 4/24/07 I arrived at the shelter with my six kittens on 4/21/07. I was obviously abandoned by someone who didn't bother to spay me and now I'm a bit overwhelmed trying to take care of my beautiful babies. They are only a couple of weeks old so I have my work cut out for me. These nice folks are feeding me good, trying to get rid of our fleas and deal with any other problems. I get good food and a safe big cage! My babies won't be ready for adoption until they are at least 2 pounds, 6+ weeks old. I'll be spayed then and also available. Watch for updated pictures. I have 3 orange tabby babies (one girl), one darling black baby (Fenway), and two long haired Calico gals. Please, my babies need to go to homes where there are no kids under age 6. I myself will make a great family pet. PLEASE SPAY/NEUTER YOUR PETS AND KEEP YOUR CATS INDOORS. Our adoption fee is $45 with a cardboard cat carrier, or $40 if you provide a carrier. All cats must be transported safely in a carrier. Additional carriers are $5 each. The fee includes: Worming Testing for Leukemia and AIDs Core vaccinations (including rabies tag) Ear mite and flea check and treatment Spay/neuter or voucher for spay/neuter Free sample bag of Hill's Science Diet Cat/ Kitten Food Lifetime guarantee of the right for the cat/ kitten to be returned to the shelter for any reason. Come to the shelter to complete an adoption application, or print one from the 'adoption' page of our website http://www.guardianangelscatclub.org and bring it in. Out of town adopters or those wishing to expedite the adoption process may bring proof that pets past and present have been spayed/neutered and kept current on shots. Please note we do not ship cats! Adopter must come in person to the shelter. Our adoption contract requires that cats be returned to us if for any reason at any time you cannot or will not be able to keep the cat. This includes giving us the option to accept the cat back at the shelter if your vet recommends euthanasia (unless the cat is obviously very injured or sick and sufferering at the time).
