Meet Claudia/Bella
Claudia/Bella is an adorable 7 month old Boston Terrier with a look all her own. Instead of the black on her face covering both eyes, the untraditional look she has with the black covering one eye and white covering the other eye is a fantastic surprise. Because she has the white side you can see every expression and emotion and she shows plenty! She is truly an original and loves to be cuddled.
As you can see from the pictures, her best buddy is a 60 lb. Chocolate Lab. They play together like crazy and Bell certainly holds her own.
She is a special needs pup being cared for by her foster mom. Her problem was a prolapsed rectum which was repaired twice before we found out that part of her intestine was dead. That has been removed and she is improving rapidly. She underwent another surgery in April to permanently tack her rectum in. So as you can see she has been through a lot for such a young girl.
She has started to put on weight and has much more energy than before the last surgery. As we say, now she acts like a puppy. The problem that remains is that she sometimes has accidents when she sleeps. Most mornings she is bathed to start the day off fresh (she is very good in the sink). Sometimes throughout the day she needs to be wiped after being outside
She seems to be having less accidents as time passes, however, we don't know if these will actually stop in the future. This may be a lifelong problem for her so that is something that any prospective new family must consider.
Also, she is a bit grumpy when sleeping, she likes to be sweet-talked when waking. She can be nippy if she is roused while napping, however. So if you have children they must be absolutely respectful of this.
