Meet Petey
Petey belonged to a senior couple. The husband died in January and the widow is not able to walk/manage Petey.
Petey has been a well-kept dog. He is a super sweet and friendly dog who knows how to live in a home with people. He needs to loose weight and get lots of walks
Assessment:

Initial Impression: Friendly, waggy, happy
Petey seemed healthy and happy. He was great with my dog Chester. Petey is a sweet and well mannered dog. He is super friendly and easy going. Petey was curious and friendly when he met Chester but he wasn't interested in playing and Chester left him alone. I don't know what he would do with a dog that is overly excited to meet him and didn't give him any space. Petey did not reactive negatively at all.
He will chase cats so recommend a home without cats. He is fine with children but due to his size small kids may not be a good idea.
