Meet Sassy

Sassy is a sweet and docile 25lb, 10-year-old hound mix that came to us after being passed around within a family that could no longer take care of her. She loves her walks and car rides, is house trained, and even knows some commands such as sit, stay, come, and shake (for treats, of course). She LOVES being outside and sunbathing, so we would like her to go to a home with a fenced yard. She is scared of loud noises and thunder, and she is not too fond of other dogs or cats, but is not "offensively" aggressive, meaning her motto is "If you leave me alone, I'll leave you alone." While she is affectionate and sweet as can be, she is a very laid back, easy going dog and not needy at all. Sassy is up to date on all her vaccines, microchipped, and has had a recent dental and bloodwork. She does have some early stage kidney disease, which is common for senior dogs and she is on a special diet to help with the advancement of kidney damage.
