Meet Gladys

This sweet girl is Gladys. Gladys was found hanging out with one of our other rescue dogs when he got loose from his foster family. We soon found out that she has been a stray for several months in a neighborhood and had a litter of pups under someone's storage building. The pups had went to homes but no one could catch mom. With the help of a professional dog recovery team we were able to trap Gladys and have been teaching her about being a house dog. She is a very sweet girl and has never once shown an ounce of aggression. She has no self confidence at all and cowers when you talk to her, pet her, or try to take pictures. However, when she is outside in a secure fence playing with the other dogs her head is held high, she is wagging her tail, and she is playing playing playing. She loves other dogs and has to be in a home with another dog. She is not great on a leash but we are working on that. She is house trained and crate trained. We do require that she go to a home with a privacy fenced yard that is very secure or someone who will let us help them secure their fence. And her new home has to have another confident happy dog to play with her. She is estimated to be about 2 years old and 35 lbs. We have had her spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
