Shea Labrador Retriever Mix Saint Petersburg, FL

My name is Shea and I am a 55 pound, 1 year old lab mix. I am a sweet, gentle girl. I’ve heard my foster mom say that I need someone with a special touch. I think she says that because I’m scared of new things and new people. I haven’t told anyone my story, they only know that my owner died and I was brought to a shelter. I was completely terrified in the shelter and was shaking the whole time. Right now I’m living with a nice foster family. I am potty trained and crate trained, and I tip toe around very quietly. It takes me a while to approach people, unless you have food. People use the food trick to get me to come over to them, and that is kind of how I got a little chunky. If you are very, very patient, I will come up to you and kiss your hand and then run away. Sometimes I peek around corners, or just spy on people to make sure it’s safe to come close. I am good around other dogs and older kids, small kids might be too much for me. My foster family thinks I will be good project for an extra caring person. Operation Trust! I have been spayed, vaccinated, and I’m ready for my new family!
