Requirements: secure fenced yard, no children living in the home, retired or semi-retired gentleman, needs to be the only dog in the home

We can only accept applications from Chatham Kent, Sarnia, Windsor, London and points within these boundaries.

Ruby is a cute black, white and grey little shih tzu girl. She is calm and quiet. She loves the company of her male person.

She loves her food and treats.

Ruby needs a family who will take her for lots of short walks daily, and help her stay on her diet. She likes her ears scratched and her back rubbed. She does not like her belly rubbed. She likes to sit beside you while you are watching TV, reading or doing any quiet activity. She sleeps with her person on the bed or sometimes just on the dog bed beside the bed.

She likes to ride shot-gun for car rides but will sit in the back if she really has to.

She would prefer an older gentleman who would just like to walk her and talk to her, maybe let her help in the garden. A gentleman who will not fuss over her excessively. She does not like to be picked up or carried around.

It would be better for her if her home had very few stairs for her to climb. She has short legs and finds going up is difficult. Once she has bonded with her person she will not leave their side. She will become protective of her person. She would like someone who would take her with them as often as possible.
