Squirt Boxer & Shepherd Mix Conover, NC

Squirt is about 2 years old. He is a Boxer/Shepard mix (we think) and about 75 lbs. We think this boy had had a rough past but happy to help him have a brighter future. The vet says he is so smart and a great dog. He never barks unless you leave him. He does not like being alone and will be happiest if he has another dog to keep him company. He’s house trained and crate trained. Scared of the dark, loud noises, storms, trucks that drive by when walking near the road. Other than that, he walks well on leash and wants to be very close to you. Sometimes he’ll step in front of you and stop, so he can be pet. All around, he’s super sweet and attentive. The vet has noted that someone shot behind the ear and has a scar and another scar across his throat from a past embedded collar. He had a bad hip that has been repaired and he is doing great. He has THE keenest sense of smell. He alerted me to a woodchuck in a culvert, a copperhead in the yard, stray cat l, and pretty much anything “out of place”. He smells everything and shows you where it is. He would do best with a fenced yard to help him play and enjoy life. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
