Meet Silas
Silas - 2yrs old - Male - Catahoula/Aussie mix
Great with other dogs - No children
Silas is a playful boy and has found a love... The tennis ball! Silas can play with the tennis ball all day long. He even brings it to bed. It’s adorable and they way into his heart.
We are not sure of his past, other than he was brought into a high kill shelter in York, SC by police. We know this much, you need to get his by in. He’s not a dog that will walk right up to a stranger with wet noodle body and smother you with kisses. He has a small tight network of those he trusts but when you’re in, you’re in like Flin! He also, his foster mom and dad, who he has known for 3 weeks so much! He gets thrilled to see them and it’s when his half kangaroo size surfaces. He loves jumping on his back legs and holding his front paws out to get up close tell you he loves to see you.
Now those back paws do great for him when he on the chase for his tennis ball. He is graceful and Athletic and would be amazing at agility or even with someone who’s love to go on hikes and play fetch with him. Dot. Mistake his playfulness over high energy, because even though he has the energy, it has not been misplaced in a sense that he is a barker or one that destroys furniture. He is well behaved and housetrained.
Due to the need to trust, we don’t trust him in a home with children. Not yet at least. Not until he finds his sense of security.
