Harlowe English Bulldog Mix Palatine, IL

What can we say about this petite flower (a dainty 51 pounds)? Harlowe is flirty and fun! This 4 year old English Bulldog mix was a puppy mill mama and will quickly redefine your understanding of the word “beautiful."

Harlowe is so excited about this whole new world and is learning, daily, what life's all about. She sniffs everything…EVERYTHING! She’s coming out of her shell quickly and has no problem asking for affection. She makes some of the best noises. We swear she literally knows how to say “now." She enjoys frequent deep tissue back rubs.

Harlowe is completely housebroken and will walk toward her foster family panting, looking up at them like she's trying to say "it's potty time” — a totally different look from when she wants some affection.

She's great in her crate. She's currently crated along with her foster's three resident dogs, so she's never really alone. She is crated during the day while her fosters are at work and sleeps in a gated area at night. There is no barking or growling from Harlowe but she makes up for that with a bevy of interesting snorts, grunts, and other entertaining noises.

Harlowe has no food issues and takes treats very gently, but she is not a fan of carrots, so don't even try. When it comes to leash walking, she does well and loves walking on the grass. Actually, Harlowe didn't get a chance to experience much grass in her past life, so she likes to make up for that now and loves any chance she can get to wiggle her toes in the soft, green stuff.

So who needs a wiggly-butt grass-lover in their life? If you can offer some ear scratches in exchange for kisses, consider adding this delicate little hulk of a lady to your family. Come meet Harlowe at the next Adoption Event. You'll be glad you did.

If we do not receive any communication from you, the dog may be adopted out at our event prior to 12 pm if the perfect home comes along. :-)

However, visual breed identification is unreliable. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog’s individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess. Dogs are individuals.
