Sloane Shih Tzu Mix Palatine, IL

Hello, I’m Sloane! I’m a 10 year old female Shih Tzu mix recently given up by my owner (along with Ferris and Cameron). I am learning lots of things in my new situation.

For example, I relearning where to potty. It’s a work in progress. I’m also not familiar with this crate thing and, can we just say, I’m not a fan. I currently stay in a gated kitchen with my "siblings" Ferris and Cameron, to help me understand how things work as we move on in my journey to a permanent forever.

I’m great in the car but am still mastering those leash-walking skills. So many interesting smells everywhere! I weigh 13 pounds and you’ll be happy to hear I don’t shed.

I love attention — belly rubs, snuggles, pets. In exchange, I give the best kisses! Foster Mom says I’m super sweet and super cute! Because I bark from time to time, she recommends no apartments or condos. Come meet me this Saturday!

If we do not receive any communication from you, the dog may be adopted out at our event prior to 12 pm if the perfect home comes along. :-)

However, visual breed identification is unreliable. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog’s individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess. Dogs are individuals.
