Meet Hoppy
Hoppy is a 10-lb white poodle with tan ears and her birthdate is 5/2/2010.
She is shy and cautious but has an adorably mischievous side (she has turned stealing socks into an art form. We also find random objects in her bed like screwdrivers and soccer shin guards -- she looks so innocent as she lays there with them, it's very funny!)
She loves other dogs and her ideal home has canine siblings to teach her the ropes. She is not comfortable on a leash (she has actually chewed through several collars, she really does not like to be restricted!), so she should definitely have a fenced-in yard so that she can adjust more easily to her new home.
Hoppy lived a long time in a puppy mill with very limited human contact, so she is still very cautious around people. She needs a patient family who will let her adapt and bloom at her own pace. She doesn't seek out any human affection yet but spends long hours cuddled up with her canine buddies. If we sit with her on the couch, she relaxes and seems to enjoy it. She is house trained with occasional accidents and just needs a solid "going out" routine that she understands. She is ready for a family of her own -- are you her furever home?
