Abigail is looking for her soul mate to cuddle with and play with. She's a gentle lovely dog. Abigail is a very pretty and smart 3 year old hound. She is housetrained and crate trained. She loves women - loves to be pet and give little kisses. She is still a little shy with men but at the rate she's been going, that won't be true for too much longer. She is really blossoming into a happy, outgoing girl.

Abigail picks up training quickly and loves to give kisses. She's a playful girl who LOVES a good squeaky toy. She will toss it up and chase it with utter joy. And she also is happy to settle down calmly on a comfy dog bed and hang out.

Because she is still a little shy, active young kids will be a little scary to her so a home with older kids is best. With just a little more time, Abigail is sure to decide even young kids are fun to be around - she's already made so much progress gaining confidence.

Abigail likes other dogs and loves to play. She has a tendency to guard her food with other dogs so needs to be feed separately. She does NOT guard food, toys or treats with humans.

Abigail is in a foster home in Arlington, Virginia. She came to us from a rural shelter with her friend Mary.

The adoption fee for this dog is $25. This fee INCLUDES spay/neuter and microchip. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered.
