Blue Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler & Bluetick Coonhound Mix Smithfield, NC

Blue is an Australian Cattle Dog/ Blue Heeler mixed breed. He is neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped.
Blue was adopted out as a puppy in 2015. He has been returned because his owner is no longer interested in him. He was relegated to a pen in the backyard where he was ignored, except to be fed, so that explains why he get excited when he sees people, but he is reserve with the first introduction but is fine after he gets a good sniff! Blue is housetrained and dog social. He loves kids but maybe too high energy for toddlers and very young children, although he goes submissive for any loving he can get and responds well to "down" or "no". He did well being tested with dog savvy cats and he respected their request to go away! He also comes when he is called, so that's a big plus too!
Blue will follow his nose, so he still has some manners to learn indoors, such as no counter surfing, no matter how good it smells. Blue would love to follow his nose into your heart, of you are ready for a best pal!
