Meet Tortuga

Tortuga is a Red Eared Slider turtle that was surrendered to the shelter on 12/14/18 when his previous owner was no longer able to care for him. Before adopting Tortuga, please become familiar with the amount of care needed for Red Eared Sliders. They are almost entirely aquatic, but do leave the water to bask in the sun, so Tortuga will need a habitat with an electrical heat source and water filtration. Red Eared Sliders are very interesting turtles with fixed tongues, so they must eat their food in the water. Tortuga is very active, fast, entertaining, and fun to watch as he goes about his day.
