Miesha Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Palatine, IL

Give a moment’s thanks for your neighbors. Right now. Because there’s no way they’re as bad as these… Miesha and her siblings came to SCCR when her mother was shot by a neighbor. Yup. You read that right. Ugh.

But these are happier times for Miesha. At eleven weeks old and weighing only eleven pounds, this little cutie has a bright life ahead of her. Little Miesha is happy, wiggly, and friendly. She has been trained to go on potty pads but will need the usual puppy training for housebreaking and behavior.

Miesha’s foster mom says, "Miesha is a happy, active puppy. When she's not hopping around being an adorable social butterfly, she sits and thinks. Sometimes it looks like she's contemplating life or maybe she's just deciding which toy to pounce on next. Regardless, she has some requirements moving forward: she requires endless love, a warm lap, abundant toys….the simple things. Once she catches your glance with her blue eyes you'll be hooked, that's for sure. I know I am.”

If you are interested in adopting this dog, you must send an application or email us at adoptions@sccrescue.org prior to a Saturday Adoption Event so we know you plan on attending. If we do not receive any communication from you, the dog may be adopted out at our event prior to 12 pm if the perfect home comes along. :-)

However, visual breed identification is unreliable. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog’s individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess. Dogs are individuals.
