Name: Jack (Nickname: Scooter) Age: Young Breed: Chihuahua/dachshund mix Weight: Small House trained: Working on it Crate Trained: Yes Loves other dogs!!! Good with kids. Watch with very small kids as they may try to pick him up & drop him. Car Rides: Does well. Likes to call "Shotgun!" Jack is lively & sweet. Enjoys Netflix & snuggling on the couch. A total foodie. Warms up to new people quickly. Goes for rides in a doggie stroller. Does very well in the tub & lets me clean his ears. Gets cold easily, so a coat is a must if you're going to be outside for very long. Is walking much better. Has trouble on slick floors. Likes soft, squeak toys. Goes nuts for puzzle toys with soft treats in them. Goes nuts for food in general. He really likes food. Will make a great addition to a family with another dog. Jack wants to be someone's little buddy. <3 Jack is oddly paralyzed from the lower back down. He is improving with laser treatments and water therapy. He has a very strong upper body and has started to stand and also walk a few steps. If we can build up the strength in his rear legs he may walk. Otherwise he would benefit from a wheelchair. He is very patient, sweet and loving.

Meet Jack
Jack is a 1-2 year old Dachshund/chihuahua mix.
This adorable little guy is a bundle of fun.
He loves other dogs & would do well with a sibling. Also does well with kids & cats.
He rides well in the car & enjoys trips to the nursing home.
When we got Jack in our rescue he was paralyzed from the lower back down.
Jack has finished his laser treatments & is doing well with his water therapy.
His back legs are improving & he's now able to walk & even run for short periods. Jack is getting a crash course in "Doggie Wheelchair Driver's Ed" from his paralyzed foster sister. He is very patient, sweet and loving. We are looking for that special person who will take this sweet man in and show him the bond a human and their dog can have.
