Meet Scooby
Meet Scooby! Scooby is a 45lb, 9 month old Pit Bull pup with a bleak past but a bright future.
Scooby was rescued from a situation of neglect by the rescue group Haven to Home. He was so gaunt that his ribs were showing, covered in fleas and filth, and he had no socialization whatsoever - making him extremely fearful of new people and situations. Though Haven to Home had no space to take him at the time - they knew they couldn’t leave him where he was and reached out to us.
Scooby is a sweetheart- although he doesn’t make the best first impression due to his fear of strangers. He’s developed a very convincing tough guy act! With a little patience and some kind words (and lots of treats!) he will drop the tough act and reveal to you the most wonderful boy he really is! He just needs to understand that he is safe with you first - but once he knows that he will quickly become the very best friend you could ever ask for!
Scooby is truly the biggest softie and so very loving! He is generous with his cuddles and kisses - and absolutely LOVES to play! He is delighted with any toy you give him! He is also astonishingly intelligent - having had no previous training in basic commands he has now learned how to sit, lay down and give his paw in less than 3 hours!
Scooby may have had a rough start in life but we are hopeful to find him a loving home to give him a new beginning — someone to embrace him and treat him the way he’s always deserved. He’s a boy who latches on quickly to those who are patient enough to earn his trust and show him kindness. Love him and he will return the love ten fold.
If interested in making Scooby’s acquaintance please contact Vicki at 570-204-6355 or Vicki@nokillarc.org. Please tell a little about yourself.
***Scooby is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and will have a blood parasite screening
