Princess Elsa American Eskimo Dog Elmhurst, IL

Princess Elsa is a 3-4 year old female Mini American Eskimo Dog. She is approx. 12 lbs. Elsa is very sweet, but also very shy and will dart away from new people until she is comfortably bonded, which will take time. Elsa needs more experience being in new situations and around new people, and will need continued socialization for her to really blossom. Elsa will do best with another dog that is friendly and confident so that she can learn and gain confidence from the other dog, plus she enjoys playing with playful dogs. Elsa will need a patient adopter who has time to work with her. She is currently working on potty training in her foster and doing quite well. Elsa will need continued leash training so that she can begin to enjoy taking walks. Elsa in not a good candidate for a tie-out, a fenced yard would be very beneficial to her adjustment into her new home. We have not had the opportunity to test Elsa with younger children, and believe she has most likely never been around little kids. Teenagers would probably be fine. Elsa is fine with cats. As we learn more about Elsa's personality, and she gains experience in her foster home, we will update!
