Rudy Cocker Spaniel Rochester, NY

Rudy is a very active ten year old Cocker Spaniel. Rudy is blind, but has adjusted well without sight. We were hoping to restore his sight but found out that wasn't possible. Rudy was seized by the Humane Society in a cruelty case. Cruel history, no sight. But this is one happy dog! Loves to be with his people! He has the energy of a dog half his age or maybe even younger!! Loves belly rubs, a bowl of good food and “watching” television. Seriously, he loves television! Rudy is good with other dogs, but should meet any dogs in the home. If he is given, the choice, he will want to be the top dog. He has been exposed to dogs and cats in his foster home. He has not been exposed to children. He is so incredibly good natured, we can’t see children as a problem, but because we don’t know, we would require children in the home to be over the age of ten years. He is fantastic on a leash but he also likes to investigate the fenced yard in his foster home. While house-trained, if left alone for too long a belly band is used as he doesn't have ability to hold it for hours. He prefers his person/people be outside with him. Rudy is on meds to clear up a skin issue, left over from cruel past. Each day, his skin is improving. Please submit an application to be considered for this very fun dog.

All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.

Adoption fees:
Puppy to 1 yr of age: $275 to $350
1 yr to 6 yrs of age: $250 -$300
6 yrs to 8 yrs of age: $200
Over 9 yrs of age: Adoption fee varies
*NOTE* Purebreds and Designer breeds, regardless of age are $325 to $400
