Matilda Domestic Short Hair Bloomsburg, PA

Imagine seeing a beautiful buff colored mother nursing three beautiful buff kittens that looked just like her. Then imagine each of those kittens dying one by one from flea infestation anemia. That’s exactly what poor Matilda went through as no one helped her when her babies were dying until it was too late. We got called when she only had one last kitten. Sadly it was too late. Matilda was actually in a home when all this happened. She showed up as a stray in a trailer park in Berwick and was taken inside. We’ll never know if the outcome would’ve been better if she was just left outside.

After this ordeal Matilda was vetted and treated for her flea infestation. She remained for some time recovering in a foster home and is now available at the shelter for adoption.

Matilda has a pretty fawn colored coat and is a petite cat. She is affectionate and likes attention and will let you know when she wants more by at tap. She seemed to acclimate to the shelter relatively quickly considering all she’s been through. She is between one and two years old.
