Meet Chip
Howdy! My name is Chip, and I am a 5 year old neutered male. I was brought to the shelter as a stray along with my best buddy Dale - we must have followed our noses a bit too far and got lost. If you are looking for two handsome male hounds we would love to find a home together, but we will both also do great if adopted into different households.
I have lots of happy energy and will always be ready to go with you for a long walk with only a moment's notice. You can expect my nose to be on the ground much of the time because I am very interested and curious about what has just crossed our path, or might have crossed it hours ago. I do pull some on leash at first, but I do much better after we have been out for a while. I will do best in an active household that will make sure I receive vigorous exercise every day. I do like to practice my baying from time to time and I have a typical loud hound voice. I have not had formal obedience training, but I do know sit and would love to learn more.
I am very good-natured with strangers and would love to spend some time with you. Please stop over soon to meet me.
Please be aware that because of the way this dog looks he may be perceived as a certain type. We want to alert you that some communities, landlords, management companies, and insurance agencies have size and breed restrictions, limits on number of pets, and/or require pet deposits or additional fees. Before adopting, we encourage all adopters to know what restrictions may apply to you.
