Meet Sam

Feisty, fearless and friendly are only three of the words that describe stunning 3-year-old Sam. The 13-pound terrier mix with the enviably upbeat personality entered our care from Polk County Animal Control where he was taken as a stray. As affectionate as he is active, he gets along easily with people and other dogs, and counts playing and eating as two of his favorite pastimes. Because Sam tested positive for heartworms, he has already begun a 5-month treatment regime, during which time he will be available as a foster-to-adopt dog. This means his adopting family will act as his fosters, with Canine Estates covering his medical expenses, until his treatment is complete and he is heartworm free, at which time the adoption will be finalized.
