Penelope Whippet & Terrier Mix Smithfield, NC

Hi everyone my name is Penelope and I’m 8 months old. I came to my foster mom when I was around 4 weeks old where I learned to trust, love, snuggle and become human. In my time with my foster family I have been loved by my tiny foster humans ages 9-16, and an assortment of 4 legged foster siblings ranging from 30-75 lbs, I’m the little dog in the family, and let’s not forget my feline siblings that I really like but they ignore. My foster mom would say I think I’m one of the big dogs cause I’m not sure how I feel about little dogs. I have tried meeting little dogs but we didn’t see eye to eye. I’m very happy that I’ve done well in potty training. I have potty pads when I have to be alone without my family at times but rarely have had to use them. I have a very unique whimper to alert you I need a potty break. Potty breaks are very exciting because I get treats and my favorite.. ice cubes for being a good girl. I am leash trained and love to take walks, but I also love to spend time running around in a fenced in play area. I am also crate trained and love going to lay in my crate when things get overwhelming, however once my door closes I do cry because I just want to be with people. My hobbies are playing with toys, jumping on the trampoline, eating, I LOVE car rides and snuggling. My foster mom says I’m the best snuggler in the world, but if you move, you may find yourself nose to nose with me while I snore you a lullaby.
