Meet Sadie Grace and Chopper (Permanent Fosters)
REQUIRE: A foster home in Chatham with a fenced yard and very few or no stairs
NOTE: They will be permanent fosters. This means that there is no fee and all vetting expenses are covered by CK Animal Rescue.
Rescue is not always about puppies and young, active dogs. In this case, it is about 2 very sweet, quiet senior Dachshunds who are sister and brother, who have always lived together and who must continue to live together. Somehow they ended up in a high kill shelter, captured our hearts and were saved.
They are each 14 years old but have no major health concerns. They each have a heart murmur which is common. They can see but their eyesight is typical of seniors, depth perception is distorted so stairs are tricky for them.
As stated above, all vetting will be covered by the rescue. What do Sadie and Chopper have to offer in their retirement years? Unconditional love, loyalty and companionship!
