Sandy Wheaten Terrier Mix Rochester, NY

Sandy is approx a 3 year old Wheaten terrier that came from an abandon house in Kentucky. Sandy is still growing back her fluffy coat and gaining weight but she holds no grudges about what humans did to her in the past. Sandy is happy go lucky and loves to explore. She has a toothy grin on her face and loves to greet everyone she comes across. Sandy loves attention and cuddling. She also enjoys the company of other dogs but does not enjoy high energy dogs. She currently has a 10 year old pug mix as her foster brother and they enjoy looking out the window together. Sandy would do best in a home with a dog that is the same energy level as she is. She is also very smart and has already learned the "sit" command and does that before every meal. She is still learning to play with toys but tug of war is her favorite. She does not require a home that has a fence in yard but it would be a bonus because she likes to be very active! If you think Sandy could be the right pup for your home, she'd love to meet you!

A adoption application must be filled out to meet with any of our foster dogs. All animals are kept in foster homes so there is no shelter for you to visit animal. Please go to http://new2urescue.org if you would like to meet the foster animal or learn more.

All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.

Adoption fees:
Puppy to 1 yr of age: $275 to $350
1 yr to 6 yrs of age: $250 -$300
6 yrs to 8 yrs of age: $200
Over 9 yrs of age: Adoption fee varies
