MAYA HAS A PENDING ADOPTION. HER PROFILE WILL BE REMOVED ONCE HER ADOPTION IS FINALIZED.

Meet MAYA : Maya is a 6 year old, spayed, female German Shepherd looking for her forever home. Maya weighs approximately 95 pounds. Maya is very playful and her favorite activity is playing fetch. Maya requires a completely fenced yard where she can stretch her legs and get plenty of exercise.

Maya has been raised with another dog (male) and they get along well. We are assisting Maya's owner in rehoming due to the demanding work schedule and long hours of medical residency. Maya is in a loving foster home until a suitable forever home is found.

Although Maya gets along well with the other dog in her home, she has not been well socialized with other dogs and other people. She has a tendency to bark when she sees other dogs or people walking by the house and/or knocks at the door. She is very sweet, very smart and very trainable. Maya would make a great companion and has not shown any aggression toward other dogs or people. An adopter with previous German Shepherd experience is preferred.

Maya's adoption fee is $200 and a COMPLETELY FENCED YARD is required.


Our adoption area, unless otherwise specified in their bio, is within a two hour radius of Cincinnati for adult dogs.

Once your application is submitted, you will be redirected to a confirmation page on our website. This is your confirmation that we received your application. Please read the page thoroughly so you will know what to expect next in our adoption process.

Adoption events are held every Saturday in our thrift store from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Please complete your adoption application in advance so our volunteers have time to screen and contact potential adopters.

IMPORTANT: All applications are reviewed in the order they are received and qualifications are based on best fit for each individual pet. A volunteer will contact you if you are selected for a meet with adoptable pet. Final approval is always made in person.
